Program Timeline
Application for the 2025-26 term will open on October 1, 2024. Limited seats are available - apply early!
Best Consideration: January 10, 2025
Early Admission: February 20, 2025
Final Deadline: April 1, 2025
Classes Begin: August 2025
Teacher Residents (TRs) will be participating in the coursework as follows. TRs will be assigned a Cooperating Teacher.聽 聽聽
Fall Term
- SETT Program Orientation
- Nine Credits of 午夜影院 Coursework:
- Curriculum Development
- Assessment
- Classroom Leadership and Management
- IEP Management Skills
- Four days of on-your-feet co-teaching each week in APS
Spring Term
- Nine Credits of 午夜影院 coursework:
- Emergent & Intermediate Literacy for Diverse Learners (Structured Literacy Foundation)
- Foundations of Special Education
- Special Education Law and Ethics
Summer Term
- Complete TESOL coursework
- PRAXIS Special Ed Core Knowledge
Fall Term
- Complete Supervised Field Experience (SFE) in their own classroom SPED 2390
- PRAXIS Principles of Learning and Teaching (Elementary or Secondary)
- MS/HS Content Area Teachers Only: Content knowledge assessment for primary teaching area (English, Math, Science, Social Studies)
