SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to improve the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical, and professional skills training. SkillsUSA serves more than 300,000 students and instructors annually. The organization has 13,000 school chapters in 54 state and territorial associations. More than 14,500 instructors and administrators are professional members of SkillsUSA.Ìý.
SkillsUSA Competitions
Each year, ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº hosts in-house competitions during the fall and state-level competitions in April.ÌýAt the SkillsUSA competition, students work against the clock and each other, proving their expertise in occupations such as electronics, computer-aided drafting, precision machining, medical assisting, and culinary arts. Contests are run with the help of industry, trade associations, and labor organizations, and test competencies are set by the industry.ÌýSkillsUSA competitions are designed and judged by industry professionals and offer students valuable work experience as well as important networking opportunities.
