Last Friday ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº hosted over 300 career and technical education (CTE) students as they competed in this year’s. The event had 38 career competitions in a number of CTE fields including aviation maintenance, culinary arts, and welding. Among those who participated, 22 were from ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº including two dual credit students.

ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº has a long tradition of success at the event and this year was no different. In total, ÎçҹӰԺ’s students won 18 medals, including 11 gold, five silver, and two bronze. The gold medalists will now have the honor of representing ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº and New Mexico at the, which will take place June 20-24 in Atlanta.Ìý

SkillsUSA is a national organization that exists to promote the trades by bringing together students, educators, and industry leaders to support the development of a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA competitions are designed and judged by industry professionals and offer students valuable work experience as well as important networking opportunities.
