Values Shout Out: Richard Francia
Nominated by Sionna Grassbaugh: Richard is the groundskeeper for the area outside the Smith Brasher building. He welcomes everyone he sees with a smile and a good morning or good afternoon. If he's around he'll hold the door or ask if you need help carrying something. When the rose bushes are in bloom, he tends to them with the skill and care of a master gardener! He will also get water bottles and fill them with water and roses and place them around the Smith Brasher lobby. It may seem little, but it means a lot to those who notice. 聽During events, Richard is always helpful and will stop his work to help answer student's questions, especially during the first week of class. He has an extremely positive outlook, is helpful, and cares about the work he does. He could be nominated for Caring, Exceptional, or Inspiring but I'll go with Inspiring because he inspires me and others to do what you love, help people, and be humble.
