Values Shout Out: Laura Hines
Nominated by Theresa Torres: Laura is a full-time faculty member in BHT and teaches marketing and business courses. She recently helped out by taking on an Ingenuity student who needed to finish her marketing coursework on the credit side, on top of her regular teaching load and additional duties.聽 She helped us come up with the process for how we'd structure this for the student and make it as seamless as possible. We often had to pull Laura into meetings so that we could all game-plan the logistics of this process and every time she was willing to jump on a Teams or Zoom call at a moment's notice. Laura has taken on this student and often created these classes, in separate course shells, to mimic how these classes were taught on the Ingenuity side (and often with no pay and beyond being a part of her other-duty hours). Laura has been sure to pay extra close attention to this student (although she does that for all of her students) and ensure that this student can finish up her Ingenuity certificate just as if she was still in that program. I know there are MANY faculty at 午夜影院 that would do something like this, but I wanted to go above and beyond to thank Laura, just like she's done for this student and our college.
