Employee Handbook Policies:

The was updated and approved by the ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº Governing Board to align more closely with ÎçҹӰԺ’s Core Values and reflect a sense of connection and purpose. The revision clarifies employees’ responsibilities regarding policy awareness and compliance and reaffirms the Governing Board’s authority to modify policies as needed to support the effective operation of the College.

Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics was revised and renamed to to better reflect its expanded scope. Approved by the ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº Governing Board, the updated policy now includes a clear statement of the Security Department’s mission, services, and role within the ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº Community. New sections on crime reporting, emergency procedures and timely warning notifications were added to enhance transparency and provide employees with clear, actionable safety guidance.

Fires was removed from the Employee Handbook to support the alignment of all emergency procedures. Fires response protocols are now centralized on the emergency procedures page of ÎçҹӰԺ’s Security website.

The Source Policies and Procedures

IS 1400 Medical Emergency has been removed from the Source due to outdated content. To ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency, medical response protocols are now centralized on the ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº Security website.

IS 1402 Assistance from Security has been retired from the Source due to outdated content and inconsistencies with current practice. Relevant and updated information regarding how to request support from ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôº Security is now incorporated into the policy.

IS 1404 Bomb Threats has been removed from the Source and the current bomb threat response protocols are now maintained on the Security website.

ÎçÒ¹Ó°Ôºizing this information ensures that employees and learners have access to the most accurate and up-to-date safety guidance.

Governing Board Policy Manual

8.12 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion revisions were approved by the Governing Board at the May Board meeting. To maintain the integrity of the Governing Board’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for all learners, faculty, staff, and community members, the policy has been renamed . The revised policy reflects the role and focus of the new Office of Organizational Culture and Effectiveness and aligns with the ÎçҹӰԺ’s Mission, Culture Statement, and Strategic Goals. Updates were made to ensure language is mission-driven and community-centered, reinforcing ÎçҹӰԺ’s dedication to its learners, faculty, staff and broader community.
