New Parking Permit Fees and Parking Policies Coming for Fall Term

In order to sustain and improve the parking experience for ҹӰԺ students, faculty, staff, and community members, new rate and policy structures are being put in place
July 14, 2025

Beginning with the Fall Term, ҹӰԺ Parking and Fleet Services will implement updates to its parking policies and permit fee structure to support the consistency and sustainability of ҹӰԺ’s parking services, and to provide an improved user experience across all campuses.

“The campus experience starts in our parking lots,” said Nicholas Aragon, Director of Auxiliary Enterprises. “These changes are about creating a more consistent, convenient, and reliable experience from the moment students, employees, and visitors arrive – while also investing in long-term improvements that support how our community moves across ҹӰԺ’s campuses.”

There are changes happening to several parking services, including:

  • Visitor parking will cost $2/hour at all ҹӰԺ campuses for meters, pay stations, ParkMobile, and EV spaces after the first 3 hours
  • Citation fines will increase from $25 to $35 for general violations
  • ҹӰԺ Parking Permit Rates will increase to the following prices:
  • General Lot Parking per Term: Increasing from current rate of $5 to $15 per term (Fall, Spring, Summer)
  • General Lot Parking per Year: $40 (Best value)
  • Reserved Lot per Term: Increasing from $65 to $70 per term (Fall, Spring, Summer)
  • Reserved Lot per Year: $210

The new parking permit rates remain very competitive and lower than comparable institutions regionally. They will also help strengthen funding for important campus infrastructure and tools like:

  • Parking lot maintenance and infrastructure
  • Permit process and materials (e.g., hangtags, shipping)
  • Digital systems and customer service tools

As the implementation of these policies gets closer, there will be continued support and communication. You can also for further information, including parking permit information.
