Orientation: Are you Eligible?
Eligibility
Students must have and be able to present a current 午夜影院 student ID card with photo and student ID number (not social security number). Without this, students cannot participate in the 午夜影院 Service Learning program.
Time Considerations
- The minimum hours of service required is 15, but some agencies聽require more than 15 hours per term.聽
- Ask yourself if you have the time to commit to Service Learning and if you can consistently arrive on time.聽
- Allow extra time for enrolling in Service Learning, interviewing and training at the agency, and orientation sessions.聽
- It's better not to become involved than to sign up and withdraw later.
Possible Challenges
- Working with real people and real-life situations can be eye-opening.聽
- You need a strong ability to make and keep a commitment.
- Your ideas of life and our community may change.
- Agency representatives may change.
- People will be depending on you.
- Emotional connections - You may become attached.
