In accordance with accreditation standards, the ultimate goal of the 午夜影院 EMS program is to prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.

EMS Program Screening Process and Department Approval听

The following EMS programs have limited seats and require department approval and a screening process before registering for classes.听

• Emergency Medical Services鈥擨ntermediate Concentration (AEMT)
  • One-term program available for Fall, Spring, and Summer
• Emergency Medical Services鈥擯aramedic Concentration
  • Cohorted program begins in Fall and Spring terms only.听

If you are in progress with your EMT Basic classes, you can still apply and be conditionally approved. If you have applied to the paramedic program, you must obtain your New Mexico EMT Basic license prior to the first day of classes. If you have applied to the AEMT (EMT-Intermediate) program, you must obtain your New Mexico EMT-Basic license prior to the end of the second week of the term.

Required prerequisites must be successfully completed prior to proceeding into the AEMT or Paramedic programs.

All students entering the EMS Program for EMT-Basic, AEMT, or Paramedic must successfully pass a drug screen as part of the program's admission process. While the use of cannabis is legal in the State of New Mexico, it is strictly prohibited for students enrolled in the EMS Program. This policy ensures that students meet the high standards of safety, professionalism, and readiness required in the field of emergency medical services.
